Washington Issue Perforation Varieties
In 2001 and 2002, 20¢ and 23¢ Washington self-adhesive postcard
rate stamps were issued in convertible panes of 10 and in booklets of 10. Both
issues were designed with serpentine die-cuts of 11¼ on 3 sides
10½x11¼ on 3 sides. Both issues have six distinct booklet panes:
- Convertible booklet pane of 10 with die cutting 11¼ on 3 sides (3482a and 3618a)
- Booklet of 10 (panes of 4 and 6) with die cutting 11¼ on 3 sides (3482b & c and 3618b & c)
- Convertible booklet pane of 10 with five stamps with die cutting 11¼ on the left and five stamps with die cutting 10½x11¼ on the right (3483c, 3619f)
- Booklet of 10 (panes of 4 and 6) with five stamps with die cutting 11¼ on the left and five stamps with die cutting 10½x11¼ on the right (3483a & b and 3619c & d)
- Convertible booklet pane of 10 with five stamps with die cutting 11¼ on the right and five stamps with die cutting 10½x11¼ on the left (3483f, 3619e)
- Booklet of 10 (panes of 4 and 6) with five stamps with die cutting 11¼ on the right and five stamps with die cutting 10½x11¼ on the left (3483d & e, 3619a & b)
3482-3 - 20¢ dark carmine,
issued on February 22, 2001.
3618-9 - 23¢ green, issued
on June 7, 2002.
